Sight, or vision, is a rapidly occurring process which involves continuous interaction between the eye, nervous system, and the brain as a combination of network.


The Eye is the organ of sight.

So we take care of our eyes.

Eyes are animal organs that are specialized for sight or Vision only.

These may be – simple as proteins or cell combination work found in many microorganisms.

Or they may be complex assemblies of lenses, filters, light-sensitive tissues, nerves, and support structures network.

Eyes enable people to execute daily tasks and to learn about the world that surrounds them.

This reflected light passes through the lens and falls on to the retina of the eye.

Here, the light induces nerve impulses that travel through the optic nerve to the brain.

Where it makes an image of the object, and then that image is passed on to muscles and glands.

The eye is well protected.

It lies within a bony socket of the skull.

It is a complex optical system that basically works like a camera.

The iris serves as the aperture that controls the number of light rays reaching cornea and lens (photographic objective).

And the retina works as the film.

The bending of light rays by cornea and lens serves to create sharp images on the retina.

These images ultimately trigger nerve impulses, which are transmitted to the brain where the images are perceived and interpreted.

Some eye problems found in the seasonal and other problems, like as-

  •  Water discharge
  • red eyes
  •  pain in the eye
  •  Eye itching
  •  swelling
  • watery eyes and can not focus properly
  • blurry vision

There are a few at-home remedies to alleviate your discomfort-

  • Removing- excess oil, bacteria & pollen from your eyes will reduce irritation.
  • Simply wash your eyes and eyelids with a doctor-recommended cleaner or warm water.
  • Placing a warm eye compress over the eyes helps to reduce the swelling and pain.
  • Place a warm, wet washcloth on your eyes at night before bed to help soothe them (also a good alternative to an eye compress).
  • Wipe your eyes with a soft washcloth and a diluted mixture of hypoallergenic baby shampoo and lukewarm water.

Some important points for keeping the eyes healthy are as follows:

3.1)WALK ON GREEN GRASS:

Walk barefooted on a green grass in the morning.
After taking meals to rub wet palms on the eyes. This would improve eyesight.

3.2)PALMING:

Hang the eye chart on the wall in good light.Sit on the chair 10 feet away from the chart.

Now, make the right palm in the form of the ear of a cow and put on the right eye such a way that the left palm on the hollow of the palm is above the eye.

Similarly, place the left palm on the left eye, now open the eyes and see if any light is coming, then stop it.

Now imagine some desirable things.

Do this for 5 to 10 minutes.

Now remove the palm and gently open the eyes, while winking, read alphabets.

In the beginning, the alphabet would appear clear and dark, but later they would blur.

Now cover this eye and open the other eye and read alphabets with it while winking.
Now again do palm for 5 to 10 minutes.

Those who have weak eyes should do palming 5 times/day.

3.3) FACING THE SUN EXERCISE:

In early morning lie down on a reclining chair facing the sun so that sun rays fail your face.

Now look the sun through Banna leaf then close your eyes for 10 minutes.

then go in the shade and close yours for 5 minutes. Do this for 2 cycles/day.

This will remove all eye ailments in a few days.

3.4) DO EYE EXERCISE DAILY:

Daily in the morning and evening stand or sit by the wall so that the spinal column is straight.

Then perform the following exercise –

# First look at the left side as far as possible,
then at the right side. Do it quickly 10 times.

#Similarly, look upwards and downwards 10 times.

# Look at left, down, the right and upward manner in a circular path for 10 times.
#Close the eyes tightly and open it 10 times.

3.5)SPLASH WATER IN THE EYES:

Just after leaving the bed in the morning fill the mouth with water and splash water in the eyes 20 times.

By doing everyday eyesight will not weak till old age.

3.6)MAINTAIN BOOK DISTANCE WHILE READING OR WRITING :

While reading or writing, the light should befall from the left side.

The book should be at a distance of 30 to 35 cms from the eyes.

The sitting posture should straight.

3.7)BEFORE AND AFTER SLEEPING PLEASE DO THIS:

One should go to bed early and have a sound sleep.

Before sleeping, cover the eyes with palm and imagine some blue object and fall asleep while imaging the blue object.

After getting up in the morning, do the same for 5 minutes and then open the eyes.

3.9)  WALK AND PLAY AT SUNLIGHT:

Everyday prayer at sunlight after closing your eyes, play at sunlight for some times and walk for a few minutes at sunlight for better eye life and sharp eyesight.

3.10)  SPLASH WATER AFTER TAKING MEALS:

Every day splash water 5 times in the eye after taking meals, do it a regular basis.


3.11)  KEEP FASTING ONCE IN A WEAK:

Fast once in a weak by remaining only on water. 

Take ENEMA to keep the stomach clean.

3.12) WEAR SUNGLASS WHEN GO OUTSIDE:

When you will go outside wear sunglasses to avoid direct sunlight.

It will prevent your eyes from ultraviolet rays.

3.13)  AVOID STIMULATING FOOD:

Do not take STIMULATING FOODS like chilies and spices which is harmful to the bodies, later affect your eyes.

3.14)  USE LEMON JUICE:

If there is any pain in the eyes, put a few drops of the mixture of lemon juice, pure honey, in the eyes and found no pain.

3.15) TAKE BLACK PEPPERS IN THE BREAKFAST:

To improve eyesight, at breakfast take 7 black peppers and almonds and then drink cow’s milk or carrot juice.

3.16) TAKE SUN CHARGED WATER:

Take every day 50 gm of sun-charged water in a blue bottle in the morning and evening.

This is found in fresh unboiled milk, butter, turnip, carrot, tomato, soybean, fresh coriander, except this person takes an apple, green vegetable, less spicy food.

3.18)  AVOID SMOKING:

As you know- cigarette smoking is injurious to health.

3.20)  TAKE REGULAR BREAKS WHILE DOING COMPUTER/LAPTOP WORK:

Whenever doing computer or laptop work for long time eye irritation, water falling problems found often so keep break, don’t stick to the computer or laptop for a long time.
